I’m going to have this post as a spot for Marble Jar users to share their jar ideas in the comments.
Here is an illustration of our very first jar…the getting out of the house in the morning jar. We add the actions it will take. Then the GOAL is free play. If drop 2 marbles for each action before 7:30am (1/boy) they can play before we leave.
How about you?
Lets share our ideas.

POTTY TRAINING!!!!
(keep phone out of bathroom, though!)
With potty training I like to put it in a larger context. Too much focus on potty training has a bit of an opposite effect in my experience. Two ides:
1. Independence Jar
Actions:
uses potty x10
gets dressed x10
makes breakfast x3
Celebration: doing something on own…up to your family
OR
2. Bathroom Jar
actions:
uses potty
empties bathroom trash
hangs towel on hook
celebration: star wars towel
Question…when one achieves the point of celebration for something like your bathroom jar – do you change the celebration? Because certainly you want those actions to continue to happen…?
Yes, I copy the jar (which keeps the actions but not marbles) and keep going. For morning routine the celebration is “free time” so that stays. For evening routine the celebration is “books and back tickle” so that stays. For bathroom we had “new star wars towel” and honestly when we finished that jar we didn’t need any more training on it. But I could have moved onto bath toy, or something else.
